San Diego’s First APEX City Discussion Group Meeting!
The first ever City Discussion Group (CDG), an Accepted Practices Exchange
(APEX) initiative instituted by the CIC was held on Wednesday, November 20, 2002
at the Hilton San Diego Resort and was facilitated by Angela Drees for Michelle
Bartolone, CMP, of Meeting Sites Pro, Inc. with the help of APEX Commissioner
Terri Breining, CMP, CMM, and the San Diego State University Hospitality and
Tourism Management students. The San Diego group focused on reviewing and
critiquing a Resume and Work Order document. These CDGs are a vital part of the
development of accepted practices for the meeting, convention and exhibition
industry and the city of San Diego looks forward to participating in future CDGs!
